2020-21 Goals

Approved by the Board on August 3, 2020

  1. Revamp the mission statement and vision of the Florida Association of Colleges and employers
    1. Submit the revamped mission statement to membership for a vote (ongoing from last year)
  2. Revamp and clarify the FloridaACE Committee Group’s structure, purpose, responsibility, and leadership
    1. Look at current Committee Groups and evaluate the need for new committees:
      1. Need for new committee group: Diversity and Inclusion Committee
        Appointed by the FloridaACE President and approved by the FloridaACE Board on August 3rd, 2020 (the FloridaACE President and committee members to define the purpose and strategic goals of the committee)
      2. Need for new committee group: Information and Technical Committee
        Appointed by the FloridaACE President and approved by the FloridaACE Board on August 3rd, 2020 (the Information Management Director to define the purpose and strategic goals of the committee)
    2. Evaluate and clearly define the structure of the committees:
      1. Designate board member leadership and responsibility for each committee to help with communication and overall function of the committee.
      2. Evaluate and clearly define the purpose of each committee.
    3. Create a space to share the committee enhancements with members on the FloridaACE member website to provide more ways that members can become involved.
  3. Enhance and streamline membership engagement
    1. Create and implement a year-long calendar plan that maps out all opportunities for engagement within the association each year.
