What Are Affinity Groups?
Affinity Groups are professional communities within FloridaACE that bring together members with similar functional roles, interests, or goals. They’re a space to share best practices, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections across the state.
Why Get Involved with Affinity Groups?
- Network: Build relationships with colleagues who understand your work and challenges.
- Collaborate: Partner on projects, panels, and initiatives.
- Learn: Gain insights from peers through resource sharing and discussions.
- Lead: Take on a co-lead role to help guide your professional community.
Our Current Affinity Groups:
- Leadership / Administration – Strategy, staffing, and professional development.
- Internships – Experiential learning, employer partnerships, and student outcomes.
- Employers / Employer Relations – Partnership strategy, hiring trends, and engagement.
- Career Coaching / Advising – Student support, assessments, and advising resources.
- Future Professionals / NextGen – For student members exploring careers in career services or college recruitment.
How Affinity Groups Work:
- Groups meet virtually throughout the year and in person at Conference for discussions, panels, and resource sharing.
- Members can join one or more groups based on interests or job functions.
- Co-leads help facilitate meetings, share updates, and guide group initiatives.
